the tapering body rising from a recessed base to an angled shoulder and tall neck, decorated in relief around the shoulder with an archaistic three-clawed chilong in green, reserved on a rich egg-yolk yellow ground, the white base inscribed with a six-character reign mark.
Provenance: Acquired from Edward T. Chow (1910-80) in the late 1960s.
