ALICANTE, SPAIN.- Museo Arqueologico Provincial de Alicante presents for the first time in Spain a selection of the best pieces of the Assyrian civilization preserved by the British Museum, in an exhibition titled Art and Empire - Assyrian Treasures from the British Museum, on view through September 30, 2007. The exhibition, which has traveled across three continents, unveils the most important finds of British archaeology in the north of Mesopotamia since the middle of the 19th century.
