A rare Indian (Mughal) rock-crystal and steel dagger in scabbard. 18th century
The handle carved from a very clear stone, with two upright clusters of Indian-style foliage, the rounded pommel carved on both sides with crisp foliage sprays in the Indian taste, the blade steel, the scabbard set with gilt damascened mounts (minor surface chips).

A rare Indian (Mughal) ruby and sapphire-mounted pale-jade-handled dagger and scabbard. 18th century
The handle carved from a greyish stone with a large single-headed chrysanthemum spray at each end on both sides, the decoration set with six symmetrically spaced gold-mounted rubies and two gold-mounted sapphires, the blade of polished steel. 40.5cm (16in) long. (2). Estimate: £12,000 - 15,000

The stone of even greyish green opaque tone, carved in crisp relief with a leafy edge dividing a single flower head at the blade and another larger on both sides of the curved pommel. 37cm (14½in) long. Estimate: £5,000 - 8,000
