It is rare to find a rouleau vase with such high quality decoration in famille verte enamels, depicting a Chinese historical scene, but a similar vase from the Imperial collection is preserved in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Vol. 38, Hong Kong, 1999, pl.69.
