A  huanghuali and mixed-wood luohan bed. Qing dynasty, 18th/19th Century

The base of mitered mortise and tenon construction set with a soft cane seat with paired transverse stretchers and bracing members at each end, the front apron carved with foliate tendrils and leafy embellishments over the supports, the back and side panels carved with interlocking rings dovetailed in to the frames (restorations). 28 x 81 3/4 x 40 3/4in (71 x 207.5 x 103.5cm) - Estimate: $10,000 - 15,000 - This lot has been withdrawn (Copyright © 2002-2008 Bonhams 1793 Ltd., Images and Text All Rights Reserved)
