A Chelsea-Derby dessert plate. Circa 1775

Of lobed circular form with moulded spiral rim, decorated in underglaze blue and coloured enamels in an oriental style with a central medallion of flowering stems in a large vase, a design of rocks and flowering peonies and chrysanthemums to the border, flowering branches to the underside. 22.5cm diam, gold painted mark to base (crack to rim).
