STOCKHOLM.- Absolut lance la première phase de sa collaboration attendue avec Helmut Lang en inaugurant l'exposition Alles Gleich Schwer à la célèbre Kestnergesellschaft de Hanovre. Cette exposition constitue la première des deux phases majeures de cette nouvelle collaboration dans le cadre du programme Visionnaires permanent d'Absolut, IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD .

Vendredi 29 août 2008, Absolut, icône des marques de spiritueux, a apporté son soutien à la première exposition institutionnelle en solo des oeuvres d'Helmut Lang, Alles Gleich Schwer , avec un vernissage VIP, à la célèbre Kestnergesellschaft de Hanovre, qui accueillera l'exposition jusqu'au 2 novembre.

Dans la seconde phase, l'exposition sera transposée dans le monde virtuel lors du lancement par Absolut d'une expérience en ligne du projet artistique d'Helmut Lang Alles Gleich Schwer, permettant aux internautes de découvrir la vision de l'artiste sur http://ABSOLUT.COM/HELMUTLANG. Ce nouveau support de découverte et d'appréhension de l'art sera présenté en exclusivité sur http://ABSOLUT.COM/HELMUTLANG du 30 septembre au 31 décembre.

L'exposition Alles Gleich Schwer , organisée par Frank-Thorsten Moll et Neville Wakefield, marque le détournement d'Helmut Lang du corps humain à travers son travail sur les vêtements. Dans toute l'exposition, les objets et les installations créés par Helmut Lang exploreront et mettront en valeur les membranes physiques et sociales existant entre les identités et les espaces intérieurs et extérieurs.

La Séance de Travail 1993-1999, une rétrospective de l'installation conçue à l'origine pour Louise Bourgeois. Jenny Holzer. Helmut Lang Kunsthalle Wien, 1998) y sera également présentée.

S'inspirant d'éléments aussi divers que les rites folkloriques autour de la cérémonie de l'Arbre de mai ou l'utilisation des peaux synthétiques, Helmut Lang propose une série d'installations, d'objets et de possibilités associant une connaissance intime de l'humain aux mythologies individuelles et aux normes abstraites du monde en général. Pour présenter l'exposition Alles Gleich Schwer dans un environnement numérique, Helmut Lang et Absolut joindront leur créativité pour mettre au point une plate-forme interactive innovante offrant aux oeuvres artistiques un cadre libéré des contraintes géographiques et spatiales.

L'exposition est organisée en collaboration avec ABSOLUT VODKA. Dans le cadre de "IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD, ALLES GLEICH SCHWER," ABSOLUT et Helmut Lang présenteront également les oeuvres via de nouvelles plates-formes en plus de leur première plate-forme virtuelle. Helmut Lang a déjà travaillé avec ABSOLUT sur le projet ABSOLUT LANG (1995), photographié par Helmut Newton.

STOCKHOLM.- This Friday, August 29th 2008, Absolut, the world's most iconic spirits brand, supported Helmut Lang's first institutional solo art exhibition, "Alles Gleich Schwer", with a VIP preview party at the renowned kestnergesellschaft in Hanover, where the exhibition will run until November 2nd.

The exhibition marks the first of two major phases of activity for this new collaboration, part of Absolut's ongoing Visionaries program "IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD".

The second phase will see the exhibition move to the virtual world, as Absolut launches an online viral experience of Helmut Lang's "Alles Gleich Schwer", allowing the artist's vision to be accessible to all through ABSOLUT.COM/HELMUTLANG. This, a radical new medium for viewing and experiencing art, will be presented exclusively at ABSOLUT.COM/HELMUTLANG from September 30th — December 31st.

"Alles Gleich Schwer" is curated by Frank-Thorsten Moll and Neville Wakefield and marks Helmut Lang's move away from the physical body's articulation through clothes. Throughout the institution, new works that explore and develop the social and physical membranes between interior and exterior identities and spaces will be exhibited as well as "Scéance de Travail 1993—1999", a retrospective installation originally conceived for "Louise Bourgeois. Jenny Holzer. Helmut Lang" (Kunsthalle Wien,1998).

Drawing on references as diverse as the folkloric rites of maypole ceremonies and the exploration of surrogate skin, Lang has created a series of installations, objects and possibilities that integrate an intimate knowledge of the human form with the personal mythologies and abstract arrangements of the world at large. To present "Alles Gleich Schwer" in a digital environment, ABSOLUT and Helmut Lang will work as a creative partnership to develop a truly innovative interactive platform, in which the art can live beyond physical space and outside geographic restraints.

The exhibition is realized in collaboration with ABSOLUT VODKA. For "IN AN ABSOLUT WORLD, ALLES GLEICH SCHWER," ABSOLUT and Helmut Lang will create further platforms in addition to a virtual one to showcase the work of art. Helmut Lang has previously worked with ABSOLUT on ABSOLUT LANG (1995) photographed by Helmut Newton.

ABSOLUT.COM/HELMUTLANG will be on view from September 30th – December 31st.
