Two Blue and white 'Lotus' Bowls. Kangxi marks and period
each of generously wide U-shape rising to an everted lip, painted overall in a deep cobalt-blue, the interior sides with five scrolling lotus flowers surrounding a single lotus bloom enclosed in double-rings at the center, a band of loosely painted lotus flowers below the interior rim, the exterior also decorated with five scrolling lotus flowers above pointed lappets, all reserved against a ground of scrolling foliate vines, supported on slightly tapered feet (2) - diameters 7 1/2 in., 19.1 cm - Estimate: 3,000—5,000 USD - Adjugé: 1 750 USD
