A Rare Inscribed Gilt-Silver Cup And Stand. Ming Dynasty
the deep U-shaped cup repousse decorated to the exterior with high relief lotus borne on stylised scrolling tendrils, the interior fitted with a liner incised and gilt with a lanca medallion, the circular stand with a central raised lotus medallion enclosing a lanca character, and encircled by similar lotus and an incised chevron band at the flaring lipped rim, incised to the reverse of the rim with four characters Cang Guoyong zao. the stand: 18cm., 7 1/8 in.
