the beast powerfully carved seated on its haunches, the head with large bulbous eyes and a curly mane looking down at its playful cub secured by its right paw, all surmounted on a high stepped pedestal base partially supported by two crouching male figures and carved in low relief with floral bands. 35cm., 13 3/4 in..
