of deep hollowed U-shape, carved in low relief around the exterior with a geometric ruyi band, the base carved in high relief with a monster mask, the horns of the monster forming the lower part of the handle, the upper handle in the form of a large sinuous chilong, a smaller chilong clambers down the front of the vessel, the stone of pale grey tone with speckled lighter inclusions. 13.5cm., 5 3/8 in.
