A large famille rose globular vase, tianqiuping. Qianlong seal mark

Brightly enamelled around the swollen body with two shaped cartouches enclosing a long-bodied scaly dragon and a phoenix in pursuit of the flaming pearl, reserved on an auspicious yellow ground with bats, peach sprays and shou medallions, above a lappet band at the base, the flaring neck painted in rich tones of blue with meandering lotus scrolls and applied on each side with stylised fish handles (flakes to enamelling). 55½cm (21¾in) high.- Estimate: £15,000 - 20,000
