A pair of green-glazed incised circular bowls and covers. Guangxu six-character marks and of the period

Each finely incised around the exterior with two five-clawed dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, between two phoenix birds in flight, amidst clouds and flames, all within borders of classic scroll, the covers with a circular medallion enclosing a crane, the bowls with a band of waves crashing against rockwork above cloud scroll at the foot, both interior and exterior covered all over with a bright apple-green glaze stopping neatly at the rims and feet (frits to rim). 28.4cm (11¼in) diam.
