Early Ming Dynasty Painted in dark cobalt line and wash with a lingzhi fungus band filling the rim flange, seasonal flower sprigs rising in each conforming lobe of the shallow cavetto further seasonal flower heads surrounded by gracefully drawn scrolling leafy stems forming a roundel across the floor, the floral decoration continuing on the exterior walls and the slightly recessed base left unglazed (broken and re-stuck). 15in (38cm) diameter - Sold for $42,000 ...
