A Chinese semi-formal robe. 19th century
of red-coloured silk, finely worked with coloured silk thread and gilt-metal thread with dragons sporting about amidst cloud banks, ornamental waves and flowers below; together with a skirt, also of red coloured silk, worked in predominantly blue silk thread; also combined with a group of Indian wall hangings of silk and a shawl; and a balloon shaped pouch and scroll with a saying in Chinese writing in a cardboard box. the first: 110 cm.
