Ming Dynasty, Early 15th Century heavily potted with deep rounded sides supported on a short foot and rising to a foliate rim, freely carved on the interior with two large lotus flowers issuing from a meander of leafy curling stems, set below double-bands at the rim, the exterior similarly decorated with a broad lotus scroll, covered overall in a rich sea-green glaze pooling to a darker colour in the recesses of the carving. 34.5 cm., 13 1/2 in.
