A yellow-glazed bowl, Jiajing six-character mark and of the period

The short foot ring rising to rounded sides and a flared rim, covered overall with a rich yellow glaze, the foot ring left unglazed. 9.2cm (3½in) diam. Sold for £28,800

Palmer Inventory no.430, where it is stated that the bowl was purchased in May 1936 for £35.
