A large celadon-glazed bowl. Ming Dynasty

The deep robustly-potted bowl relief-moulded with lotus scrolls around the exterior, the interior similarly decorated around a central medallion enclosing a lotus spray, covered overall with a sea-green glaze except for an unglazed ring on the base burnt russet in the firing. 39.4cm (15½in) diam.
