Circa 1690 The hollow form moulded as a hillside with a winding trail leading to a pavilion amidst pine trees and grottoes, with two hunters aiming their rifles at a deer, followed behind by a horseman holding a whip and an attendant bearing a flag all working their way up the hillside with their hunting dogs. 20.2cm (8in) high. Sapphire and diamond brooch, circa 1930 Of open work geometric design, millegrain-set at the centre with a cushion-shaped sapphire, within surrounds of circular- and single-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, French assay marks. The porcelain Kangxi Each richly enamelled and gilt on each face with a panel enclosing chrysanthemums emerging from behind a garden fence, surrounded by stylised floral sprays on an iron-red ground, with original covers and later European gilt mounts.
