A red overlay glass wristrest. Incised Qianlong six-character marks, 19th century
The convex side of the wristrest finely carved through a layer of ruby-red glass to a snowflake ground with scholars passing a bridge, engaged in conversation and with a scholar and his attendant arriving at the gates of a pagoda, all amidst pagodas and pine-strewn mountainous river landscape. 22.5cm (8¾in) long.
