A collection of Chinese iron-red porcelains, one for Islamic Market circa 1710, the others, Kangxi (1662-1722)

Two pairs and a set of three Chinese iron-red and gilt plates. Kangxi (1662-1722)

Comprising a pair of plates painted to the central roundel with two ladies in a fenced garden, surrounded by tulip-shaped panels enclosing flowers at the well, 22.5 cm. diam.; a pair of plates painted with a lady holding a baby accompagnied by two servants, the rim painted with tulip-shaped floral panels, 22.5 cm. diam.; and a set of three iron-red and underglaze-blue plates painted with a roundel of two ladies in a fenced garden, surrounded by petal-shaped floral panels at the shaped well, 21 cm. diam., frits and hairline cracks (7). A Chinese iron-red Islamic Market ewer. Circa 1710

After an Islamic prototype, moulded to the flaring neck with foliate panels and bulbous mid section, the body moulded with tear-drop shaped panels above another moulded petal-shaped band, painted and gilt with lotus, lily and chrysanthemum, the spout with flower-scroll, restoration. 26.5 cm. high. Est. €6,000 - €8,000

Each decorated to the pear-shaped body with a scrolling meander of iris, camellia and chrysanthemum, supported on a high spreading silver-mounted foot, terminating in a tall tapering silver-mounted neck, glaze cracks. 26 cm. high (2). Est. €800 - €1,000
