A large Dutch Delft blue and white chinoiserie double gourd vase. Circa 1680
Painted with two tiers of fan-shaped panels depicting chinoiserie figures between keyfret-pattern bands enriched with similar vignettes, interspersed with floral clusters and all above a monkey, deer and dragon among flowering plants, base chip and minor glaze frits. 51 cm. high. A Dutch Delft polychrome Chinoiserie plaque.Circa 1740
The oblong shaped plaque painted centrally with a bird and butterfly among peony sprays, within a raised trellis diaper pattern border reserved with six cartouches depicting Chinese painting scrolls, the top moulded with a foliate crest pierced with an aperture for suspension, some loss to the glaze along borders. 25 cm. wide.
