A white jade carving of a duck. 18th Century
Standing at momentary rest and turning its head backward as it grasps in its beak a deeply undercut millet branch, the heads of grain and feathers all delicately line-incised for detail and the bird's body still retaining some of the curving contours of the original boulder, the celadon-tinged matrix also displaying some icy white inclusions, natural fissure lines and faint russet patches. 4 3/4in (12cm) long. An unusual white jade covered vase with children and garden rock. 18th Century
The vase and cover of rectangular section and flattened hu-form carved as emerging from a tall garden rock amid fruiting peach branches with three child acrobats in deeply undercut relief performing to the front and a crane and deer in shallow relief to the reverse; the brightly polished matrix displaying a celadon cast marked with some natural fissure lines, opaque white veins and faint russet patches. 8in (20.5cm) high - Estimate: $10,000 - 15,000
A small 'spinach' jade vase with taotie mask decoration. 18th Century
flattened hu form with vertical rows of rectangular bosses extruding from the side walls and bisecting the mask pattern on the opposing faces, the dark leaf green matrix marked with black inclusions and some lighter green patches. 4 3/4in (12cm) high - Estimate: $5,000 - 7,000

The citron shown as enveloped by leafy stems deeply undercut from portions of the russet-stained 'skin' of the pale greenish white matrix also displaying some icy white veins. 3 3/4in (9.5cm) high - Estimate: $1,500 - 2,000
