A pair of massive huanghuali veneer compound cupboards, Sijiangui, 18th Century

Each massive cupboard with hat chest composed of two framed doors separated by a removeable stile opening to reveal a single shelf and framed by square vertical rails above a lower cabinet set with massive floating panel-framed doors against a central stile enclosing a single shelf suspending two drawers over removeable covers for recessed hidden storage, fronted by plain panels over aprons elaborately carved with classic foliate tendrils and coiled chilong, all fiited with baitong hardware. 101 1/2 x 49 x 23in (257.8 x 124.5 x 58.4cm) (十八世紀黃花梨包雜木四件櫃一對). Estimate: $70,000 - 100,000

A huanghuali altar coffer with two drawers and carved side panels, Lianerchu, 18th/19th Century

The rectangular top terminating in small upturned scrolled ends, with 'sword-ridge' molding on the multi-board paneled top over splayed, beaded legs supporting a top row of two drawers over a single plain panel and shaped apron carved with foliate tendrils set off by elaborate carved spandrels showing chilong with split tails enclosed by a beaded shaped edge, the side panels framed by a 'u-shaped' apron. 56.50 x 19.50 x 32.50 (十八/十九世紀黃花梨聯二廚). Estimate: $40,000 - 60,000

A huanghuali and cedar panel two-door cabinet, Yuanjiaogui, 17th Century/18th Century

The slightly tapered cabinet with beaded frame enclosing well-figured cedar-burl panels opening to reveal two inner shelves, the lower suspending a pair of drawers, the front fitted with a removable stile, the side panels composed ensuite over u-shaped aprons, the top finished with brown lacquer displaying a fine craquelure. 27in x 17in x 45in (十七/十八世紀黃花梨與柏木圓角櫃). Estimate: $20,000 - 30,000

A massive jichimu formal side table, Qiaotou'an, 18th Century

The thick, single plank top set with elegant scrolled ends above cloud-shaped spandrels supported on trestles framing a solid recessed panel carved with geometric raised double c-comma patterns above each solid block base. 34 x 81 x 20in (86.4 x 205.8 x 50.8cm) (十八世紀雞翅木條桌). Estimate: $15,000 - 25,000

A huanghuali horseshoe back armchair, Quanyi, 17th/18th Century

Composed of a five-section curved toprail, joined together by half-lapped pressure pegs and suspending a curved backsplat framed by small beaded flanges setting off a ruyi shaped medallion enclosing chilong, further supported by continuous front and back rails through the framed, soft cane seat, bisected by well-shaped side posts; the beaded apron carved to the front by interlocking foliate tendrils, butted and half-lapped to the front rails and footrest, with boxed stretchers. 39in high (99.1cm) (十七/十八世紀黃花梨圈椅). Estimate: $15,000 - 25,000

A huanghuali and burlwood wine table, Jiuzhuo, 17th/18th Century

The rectangular top with 'ice-plate' edge, enclosing a single finely figured burl-wood panel over a plain apron with beaded edge extending the length of the squared supports with hoof terminals. 32 x 28 x 35 (81.3 x 71.2 x 88.9cm) (十七/十八世紀黃花梨與癭木酒桌). Estimate: $15,000 - 25,000

A zuomu bed, Chuang, 18th/19th Century

The massive frame housing a soft cane mat over a recessed waist, the plain, beaded apron joined to hipped stout legs terminating in hoof feet, lacking side and back panels. 19 ½ x 86 3/8 x 61 1/8in (49.5 x 219.5 x 155cm) (十八/十九世紀柞木床). Estimate: $10,000 - 15,000

The long rectangular single panel top set within a mitered frame with 'ice-plate' edge above a plain apron and u-shaped spandrels joined to oval-shaped legs with double stretchers, the underside with heavy traces of original lacquer. 33 ¾ x 82 ½ x 19 5/8in (85.5 x 209.7 x 49.9cm) (十八世紀柏木畫案). The slender corner posts of square section supporting the rectangular top, interior posts, matched shelves and single drawers fitted with elegant figured panels above plain u-shaped aprons. 60 ¼ x 26 7/8 x 11 1/8in (152.9 x 68.2 x 28.2cm) (十八/十九世紀紅木及花梨陳列品架一對). Estimate: $8,000 - 12,000

A huanghuali small recessed leg table, Tiao'an, 17th/18th Century

The rectangular top with 'ice-plate' edge and of hidden mortise and tenon construction, enclosing a single floating panel supported on circular, slightly splayed legs joined with bridle joints to a plain apron with u-shaped spandrels and two oval stretchers on each short side, the underside supported by five transverse braces, each leg fitted with a lacquered metal housing. 31 1/2 x 48 1/2 x 21 1/2in (80 x 123 x 54cm) (十七/十八世紀黃花梨夾頭準條案). Estimate: $8,000 - 12,000
