Tektite is a type of natural glass, chemically and structurally unique, of meteoric origin. These Tektites are known as Indochinites, and are found on earth within a narrow equatorial belt 80 degrees wide. They have been found in Thailand, Australia, Vietnam and the Phillipines. Estimated date of fall 750,000 years ago. The exact origin of Tektites is still debated today. Two basic theories are:
1.) It is meteoric glass from deep space.
2.) It is a type of impactite produced by crater forming meteorites on the surface of the moon or earth.
