DUBLIN.- In 1902, Lady Geraldine Dowager Countess of Milltown gifted to the National Gallery of Ireland the contents of Russborough, Co. Wicklow, in memory of her husband, Edward Nugent, 6th Earl of Milltown (1835-1890). BEIJING (CHINE) [28.01.10] – Face à un marché de l'art où les collectionneurs chinois sont prêts à faire grimper les enchères, les musées du pays ont du mal à acquérir de nouvelles pièces pour les collections publiques. Selon un rapport ministériel, ils devraient allouer l'équivalent de 310 000 euros par an pour l'acquisition d'œuvres. Bien souvent, les sommes sont beaucoup plus minimes.
