Sotheby's Prints Sale 30 Apr 10 Highlights Results
Sotheby's Prints sale 30 Apr 10 10:00 AM in New York made a total of $7,776,888 (£5,125,478).
Mary Bartow, Director of Prints, commented, “We are very happy with the results of our two-day sale. While we did not see the volume of bids on each lot that we have seen in the past, we saw a great pool of new buyers participate in this sale and had very active underbidding from both Russian and Southeast Asian clients. We also had strong participation from both private clients and dealers. Artists with established reputations, such as Picasso, Miro, Lichtenstein, Hopper and Martin Lewis, continue to be in great demand.”
