Plaque rectangulaire en cuivre peint en émaux polychromes : (Vierge douloureuse) - Oeuvre de Limoges, attribuable à Nardon Pénicaud mentionné à partir de 1493 ou Pierre Pénicaud (1515-1590) Représentée en buste le visage tourné à gauche sur­monté de rayons d'or. Inscription latine en partie ef­facée dont on distingue à gauche : AVE MARIS... et à droite : STELLA DEI MATER ALMA. Contre-émail en fondant doré. Au revers ancienne étiquette d'exposition. Sotheby's Prints sale 30 Apr 10 10:00 AM in New York made a total of $7,776,888 (£5,125,478). Mary Bartow, Director of Prints, commented, “We are very happy with the results of our two-day sale.
