The lower body of tapering square sectioned form painted with qilin roundels, the upper body of globular form with flowering lilies and peonies issuing from rockwork and surrounded by flying insects, Japanese box and cover.

Decorated to the interior with a medallion enclosing a dragon on a ground of crested waves, the exterior with a frieze of eight smaller dragons, reserved on a matching ground of waves.

Provenance: The Property of a Far Eastern Collector.
The Cull Collection sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 20 November 1984, lot 326.
