The male aspect of the bodhisattva portrayed seated in dhyanasana, with hands in dhyanamudra, the serene face with downcast eyes, curling moustache and spikey beard, all below an elaborate headband centred with an image of Amitabha Buddha depicted seated on a lotus, the head covered with tight curls, dressed as a monk in a robe with chased borders, the exposed chest adorned with a simple necklace. 23.5cm (9 1/4in) high.
