A fine pair of aubergine hexagonally shaped baluster vases, 清代 Qing Dynasty, 康熙 Kangxi Period (1662-1722). photo Vermeer & Griggs

the sides rising gracefully to a foliate mouth rim. The bodies covered in a deep qiepi zi, aubergine-eggplant skin purple, glaze derived from manganese varying in tone where the glaze runs down the body. The bases are unglazed revealing an incredibly smooth and slick biscuit surface. Height:  17 1/2" (44.5cm). Condition:  Excellent, no chips, cracks or restorations. Price on appllication
