Doccia white-glazed reticulated jar, beakers and a Bow cup & Capodimonte beakers and a cup and saucer, 18th century

The ovoid form with waisted neck, pierced around the sides with a wide band of moulded flowers and leaves including roses and narcissi, above a waisted foot with grooved bands, 10.7cm high (some losses to the relief moulding) - Sold for £3,840

Provenance: The Crane Collection. Based on the earlier Chinese or Meissen prototypes, pierced decoration of the style on the present lot is considered to be early in the Doccia factory's production. For a pierced coffee pot with very similar floral decoration and further discussion of these rare pieces see Alessandrio Biancalana, Porcellane e Maioliche a Doccia (2009), p.113 and the bowl sold at Christie's, 11 March 1996, lot 154.

After the Blanc de Chine example, decorated with a moulded pattern of prunus blossoms, the saucer with three prunus sprigs, saucer 13cm diam, fleur de lys in underglaze-blue, (2) - Sold for £2,160

After the Chinese Blanc de Chine model, decorated with a moulded pattern of three prunus sprigs in relief, 8cm high, fleur de lys in underglaze-blue to both, (2) - Sold for £1,800.

Each decorated with a moulding of Kakiemon prunus sprigs in the manner of Chinese Blanc de Chine porcelain, the Bow cup with a simple loop handle, beakers 7cm high, cup 6.2cm high (3) - Sold for £480
