Well painted with a scene of a soldier/official surrounded by attendants, three holding halberds and a banner standing behind him, while he faces a groom with a horse and two further attendants carrying gifts, all between incised borders and below pendent leaf tips on the waisted neck: 18 in. Well painted in rich shades of blue at the waist with a wide band of overlapping ruyi-head lappets containing lotus blossoms amidst leafy scroll beneath five of the bajixiang, positioned beneath tasseled chimes and between further lappets containing lotus, camellia and beribboned pearls, the foot incised with a crosshatch border and the waisted neck incised with a simplified floral scroll beneath a border of upright ruyi heads; 17 7/8 in. (45.4 cm.) high - Estimate $15,000 - $18,000
