Fortuny Black Peplos Dress, 1920's, Italy. photo The Way We Wore

Attached tunic to dress - peplos. Tan ceramic beads sewn into hem and on to shoulder and sides of tunic. Zig zag hem on tunic. Bottom of skirt front is shorter than back and has more than likely been shortened by the original owner. Probably from the 1920's.

Bust - 28" (with stretch); Waist - 26"; Hip - 28"; Length - 55"; Shoulder to shoulder - 14"; Back Length - 57.5" - Price contact dealer

Good condition. Pleats are intact throughout the gown with a slight loosening under the arms. There are several areas (approx 30) in the actual folds of the pleat where there are 1/2"- 1" splits. We have held back from doing any conservation.
