Courtesy Vermeer & Griggs An extremely rare imperial scrap bowl of square section with steep flaring sides rising to a lipped rim covered overall in a brilliant glossy egg yolk yellow glaze (huang you). Incised in the well of the bowl is a writhing dragon. On each of the curved sides are incised ferocious dragons in various twisted positions amongst flames and flaming pearls above turbulent waves.
