Freer Gallery of Art to Open the Shutters of James McNeill Whistler's Famed Peacock Room

The museum installed ultraviolet- and visible-light-filtering film on the windows, allowing visitors to see the beauty of the room in natural light. A Rare Statue of Hercules was Found @ Horvat Tarbenet in the Jezreel Valley

A small marble statue of Hercules, which dates from the second century CE and was unearthed in excavations in Horvat Tarbenet, within the framework of the Jezreel Valley Railway project in Israel. According to Dr. Walid Atrash of the Israel Antiquities Authority, this is a rare discovery. The statue is 0.5 meters tall and is of smoothed, white marble, and is of exceptional artistic quality in three dimensions.
