the flat-back vase finely potted with a rounded rectangular body raised on a slightly splayed foot, tapering to a waisted neck beneath a flaring mouth, flanked by a pair of iron-red and gilt-decorated dragon handles, the central white rectangular panel inscribed in clerical script (lishu) with a poem followed by two iron-red seals Qian and Long, enclosed within a border of lotus, lily and iris blossoms borne on an undulating foliate scroll, flanked by stylised phoenix and kui dragons hovering amongst exotic flower scrolls on both sides, all below the curved neck similarly decorated with a blue bat flying over a blooming lotus, the foot further adorned with floral sprays and pendant leaves, all reserved on a lime-green background extending to the back, the interior glazed turquoise, the countersunk base similarly glazed save for an iron-red six-character reign mark.
