heavily potted with deep rounded sides rising from a steeply tapered foot to an everted rim, the interior moulded with a ferocious dragon in pursuit of a flaming pearl, freely carved around the well with scrolling leafy motifs, the exterior moulded with upright pointed lappets, covered overall in an olive green glaze thinning at the edges and leaving a buff-orange ring at the base; 33.5cm., 13 1/4 in.
