each with deep rounded sides rising from a short foot to a slightly flaring rim, the exterior painted in bright enamels with four gilt-bordered circular medallions enclosing precious objects including vases holding sprigs of peony blooms, bowls of cherries, toy ships, dice and animal puppets, all divided by stylised lotus issuing from scrolled leafy stems against a lemon-yellow ground, the interior decorated with a central gilt-edged medallion enclosing a garden scene with a kite hanging on peony and prunus branches, the rim with a band of alternating iron-red peony and lotus florets on leafy scrolls, inscribed to the base with a six-character Daoguang seal mark in iron-red  Quantity: 2 - 14.8cm., 5 7/8 in.
