Formed from a curved tapering circular section of rhinoceros horn, the nozzle carved in the round as a makara head, its trunk-like mouth with a later wooden stopper, the body carved with interlace above a chorten, entwined serpents, two scorpions and a tortoise, wooden plug, and leather thong for suspension (losses to plug). 6 1/2in (16.5cm) long.
