the cylindrical body finely painted in shades of underglaze blue with a continuous narrative scene depicting a court audience with two officers bearing hu tablets before a central general flanked by attendants, framed by plantain trees and swirling clouds, the cylindrical neck with ruyi-head, key fret and cloud scroll borders, with a keyfret band to the everted mouth rim; 46.8cm., 18 3/8 in.
