The globular body carved to simulate myriad bamboo culms with superimposed leaves, between lotus-petal panels above the foot and on the shoulders also with a key-fret border, surmounted by a tall flaring neck and rim carving with upright lappets flanked by a pair of bat-shaped handles, all raised on the spreading foot decorated with roundels, the exterior and interior of the neck covered with a pale green bubble-suffused glaze. 41cm (16 1/8in) high
