Boldly carved around the full body with large peony blossoms on scrolling leafy vines repeated on the neck, above a border of upright leaf tips at the foot, and below string bands at the trumpet mouth, finely crackled pale bluish green glaze. Height 21 1/4 inches. Estimate $20,000-30,000

The Honorable Judge Edgar Bromberger (1889-1956), who served as the Chief Magistrate of New York City. The Bromberger Collection has descended in Judge Bromberger's family since his death in 1956 and is entirely fresh to the market.
