the body of compressed globular form rising smoothly from a short splayed foot to a straight cylindrical neck, covered overall in a bright olive-green glaze with golden speckles, the glaze stopping short of the brown-dressed footring, the base incised with a sixcharacter seal mark, beneath a brown slip; 32.6 cm., 12 7/8 in. Estimation 700,000-900,000 HKD. Lot 3120 vendu: 1,340,000 HKD. 

PROVENANCE: A private Japanese collection.

NOTE DE CATALOGUE: A closely related vase of slightly larger size in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, is illustrated in Rose Kerr, Chinese Ceramics. Porcelain of the Qing Dynasty 1644-1911, London, 1986, pl. 25; one from the T.Y.
