Porcelain dish. The dish has a white body and clear glaze. There is an underglaze 'anhua' slip decoration of a flower scroll around the interior wall.
Some of the finest white porcelains were made during the Yongle emperor’s reign. Craftsmen added an暗花 (anhua ‘secret or hidden decoration’) of raised slip, showing a flower scroll inside. This pattern is only visible when held to the light.
