the ovoid body rising from a recessed base to a tapering neck, painted in vibrant tones around the shoulders with linked ruyi-heads suspending beaded tassels hanging stylised lotus sprays alternating with the babao (Eight Treasures), all above flying horses galloping on cresting waves and stylised cloud lappets, the neck encircled with a leafy floral scroll, inscribed with a six-character Jiajing mark on the base; 25.7cm., 10 1/8 in.
