Impressive lady's platinum and diamond dinner ringPhoto Freeman's Auctioneers & Appraisers 

10.8 carat modified Asscher cut colorless, Type IIa diamond, framed on either side by a crescent shaped diamond, approximately .60 carats. Ring size: 6. This ring is in good condition, with minor wear to the setting in the form of mild abrasions to the surface consistent with age and use. Center diamond is accompanied by GIA certificate, stating that is is D color, Si1 clarity with no fluorescence. No loss is visible and all wear is consistent with age and use. Estimate $400,000-600,000

Accompanied by GIA certificate no. 11546931 stating that the diamond is Type IIa, D color and Si1 clarity, with no fluorescence. 

Accompanied by a supplemental letter from the Gemological Institute of America stating that the diamond has been determined to be a Type IIa diamond. Type IIa diamonds are the most chemically pure and often have exceptional optical transparency, and considered to be of the top 2% in the diamond market. Typically these diamonds originated from India (particularly the Golconda region) but have since been recovered in all major diamond-producing regions of the world. Examples of famous gem diamonds, the 45.52 Hope and the 105.60 carat Koh-i-noor.
