Ewer in the shape of a shrimp situated horizontally on top of a carp, representing the metamorphosis of the carp into a dragon. Ewer's pout rises from the mouth of the carp and is supported by the shrimp. A round opening appears on the shrimp's back. The fins form the ewer's feet and are painted in brown.
Provenance: Collected by the donor in Vietnam in 1992 or slightly earlier.
