Thickly potted with somewhat bulbous sides that taper towards the base and are decorated with a continuous frieze of 'The Three Friends,' prunus, pine and bamboo, with birds in flight between. There is a band of classic scroll on the sides of the molded rim, and foliate sprays on the top. 13 1/8 in. (33.3 cm.) diam., Japanese wood box. Estimate $10,000 - $15,000
