The sturdily-potted vessel is finely painted with two scenes, separated by rocks, swirling clouds and banana plants. In one scene Zhongli Quan and a deer stand between a table set with scholarly objects to one side and a wine pot raised on a rock to the other side. In the other scene the Daoist immortals, Li Tiegai, with his double gourd, stands beside Lu Dongbin, who holds a sword. There are borders of incised classic scroll above and below. 7 3/8 in. (18.7 cm.) high. Estimate $20,000 - $30,000
